The start of ELE Trading has been well supported by both suppliers and receivers. We have traded healthy volumes of Pears, Grapefruit and Oranges to world markets. Quality to date has been good and we have had no real challenges facing us. Majority of the citrus originated from the Limpopo and Mpumalanga regions. It was great for us to be able to pack fruit in an ELE Trading carton for the very first time. We hope to eventually continue this with other product types in order to build the ELE Trading brand.
Planning for the Table grape season is underway and we hope that we have a great season. Weather is always a factor but so far we have had good rain and not frost has occurred. Currently the staff consists of Carl Schultz who handles all of the finance and Insurances. Carl will eventually handle all of the IT and general administration of the company. I shall handle all of the procurement, trading and logistics. We intend to establish a strong procurement team in all of the key areas. We hope to relocate to office facilities in the Tyger Valley area by 1 December.
